Medical conference summary
On 22 October, in the Ministry of Internal Affairs Hospital in Warsaw took place conference organized by UNICARD. It was all about COMPUTER SECURITY IN THE HOSPITAL IN THE 21 CENTURY. The conference was attended by representatives of many Polish hospitals.
One of the main topics was the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) which has to be installed within the next 3 years in each medical facility. This innovative solution is aiming at protecting the privacy of patient records, increasing the level of IT security, remote access, protection of sensitive data and convenience for mobile users who want to access company applications through the Web or VPN.
UNICARD's solutions meet the specific requirements of health care institutions. Among the basic applications, we can find IDProtect cards and readers which allow to:
- Logging to desktops, networks and applications
- SSO Option(Single Sign-On) and direct access to the applications that support patients
